At Avina Women’s Care, you and your health come first. We are currently in negotiations with UnitedHealthcare to protect our patients’ continued access to the practitioners they know and trust. If a new agreement is not reached, Avina Women’s Care is scheduled to leave UnitedHealthcare’s network on October 1, 2026.

We remain actively engaged in negotiations and committed to reaching an agreement that supports continued access to high-quality women’s healthcare.

What Does This Mean for Me?

For now, continue your care as usual. Keep your scheduled appointments and continue contacting your Avina care team for your healthcare needs.

We know changes in insurance coverage can be concerning. Our team is committed to keeping you informed and minimizing disruption to your care.

Why This Matters

Women deserve access to comprehensive OB/GYN and primary care as well as the ability to maintain relationships with practitioners who know their health history and understand their needs.

Our goal is to preserve that access for our patients today while supporting a stronger future for women’s healthcare in Ohio.

How You Can Help

If staying with your Avina practitioner is important to you, your voice matters.

Contact UnitedHealthcare at the member services number on the back of your insurance card and ask them to keep Avina Women’s Care in-network. You can also share that maintaining access to your established practitioner and a strong network of women’s healthcare providers is important to you.

If you receive UnitedHealthcare coverage through your employer, consider contacting your employer or benefits team as well.

Pregnant or Currently Receiving Treatment?

You may qualify for Continuity of Care (COC) if you are pregnant, receiving ongoing treatment, or preparing for or recovering from surgery.

Continuity of Care may allow eligible patients to continue seeing their Avina practitioner at in-network benefit levels for a limited period of time.

Contact UnitedHealthcare to request Continuity of Care information and forms. Eligibility and coverage are determined by UnitedHealthcare based on your individual circumstances.

We’re Here for You

Insurance relationships can change. Our commitment to your care does not. We will continue advocating for access, continuity, and the trusted patient-practitioner relationships that help create better health outcomes for women.
