Life-long relationships are good for everyone, especially when it comes to your health. Whether you’re a teenager, young adult, pre-menopausal, post-menopausal or somewhere in between, we promise to provide the highest level of individualized care throughout your entire health journey.
Adolescent Healthcare
We offer education on the menstrual cycle and emphasize body awareness to identify potential health concerns early. We prioritize safety and consent education to foster respectful relationships and provide robust contraception information. Additionally, we offer accessible STD testing and counseling to maintain sexual health and reduce stigma. Our services create a supportive environment for adolescents to confidently navigate their health and well-being.
Bone Density Scans and Treatment
Avina offers Osteoporosis and Osteopenia prevention education and treatment. We use DEXA (Duel-energy x-ray absorptiometry) scans to diagnose and determine the best treatment option for patients.
Colposcopy
Avina always strives to provide colposcopic evaluations with patients’ comfort in mind. In a safe and comfortable environment, we educate patients on cervical cancer screening guidelines, diagnose abnormal pap smear results, and decide appropriate treatment options for each individual.
Contraception Counseling
Our providers educate patients on the myths, benefits, and potential risks that come with all forms of contraception. Avina offers all methods of contraception including combined hormonal contraception (oral pills), intrauterine (IUD), and subdermal (implanted in the upper arm).
Endometriosis
We will listen thoroughly to symptoms and assess your goals regarding pelvic pain or painful periods and follow with an in-depth evaluation and timely path to treatment. When necessary, we offer advanced and minimally invasive surgical intervention.
Gynecologic Healthcare
In caring for patients, we provide counseling on a variety of women’s health topics. These can include breast, ovarian, and uterine health. We educate patients on their individual hereditary risk for cancer development and offer testing when necessary. We advocate for our patients while simultaneously educating them on how they can advocate for themselves. In the event that a patient needs a sexual assault exam, we work with the appropriate healthcare teams to provide long-term support in the healing process.
Gynecologic Ultrasound / Sonohysterogram
At Avina Women’s Care, we use convenient, advanced imaging technology and diagnostic testing provided in-office.
Menstrual Disorder
At Avina, we work with patients to know their bodies and better recognize where there may be abnormalities. From there, we can provide a variety of treatment options if necessary.
Menopausal Healthcare
We embrace that perimenopause and menopause can be a very vulnerable time in life and provide support every step of the way. We educate patients on all evidence-based treatment options, both non-hormonal and hormonal (including bioidentical hormone replacement therapy). We create a multifaceted treatment plan for patients’ overall wellness by also discussing diet, exercise, stress management, and more. Our Menopause Handbook (link to forms) details information for those going through menopause and answers questions many have on this topic.
Pelvic Pain
Whether a patient’s pelvic pain is menstrual/endometriosis-related, or otherwise, we provide empathetic, appropriate testing and treatment options.
Urinary Incontinence
Avina Women’s Care provides procedural diagnostic evaluations at select offices along with limited surgical interventions.
Uterine Fibroids Diagnosis and Treatment
Our physicians listen to patients and utilize ultrasound services to determine the best medicinal, procedural, or advanced surgical treatment options.
