Dr. Kathleen Lutter was born into a family of 14 children, 10 of which were girls. Her mother was a nurse and from an early age, played a big role in Dr. Lutter’s call to medicine. She first attended Youngstown State University and later continued her studies at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Upon completing her residency at OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital in 1984, she set up her office within the hospital and has been practicing ever since. Dr. Lutter has a special interest in menopausal medicine yet cares for women across the spectrum of ages. A recipient of multiple teaching awards from both The Ohio State University and Riverside Methodist Hospital, Dr. Lutter enjoys mentoring medical students, hoping to inspire the next generation of caregivers. Named the 2012 Catholic Woman of the Year from the Catholic Diocese of Columbus, Dr. Lutter has three married children, all of whom are successfully “adulting.”
